Piscataway Hills Citizens Association (PHCA)<\/b><\/h1>\n

Waterfront Park (Lot 39)<\/b><\/h1>\n

The Piscataway Hills Waterfront Park (Lot 39) is a unique community asset of Piscataway Hills\u2019 residents. \u00a0It adds to our property\u2019s economic and aesthetic value and is our private access to the Potomac River and eastern wetlands. \u00a0Park maintenance is supported solely by PHCA membership dues and volunteers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The following rules were approved by the PHCA Board of Directors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Park Access:<\/b><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Piscataway Hills\u2019 property owners and members of their immediate family living with the property owner have free access to the Waterfront Park. \u00a0Use of Waterfront Park capital improvements (boat ramp, picnic facilities, playground, etc.) is restricted to dues-paying PHCA members. Renters of property within Piscataway Hills may also use the Waterfront Park and park capital improvements by paying PHCA annual dues.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Keys to the park gate lock are available from PHCA Board members and are issued in accordance with Item 1 above. \u00a0Copying and distributing keys to non-PHCA residents is prohibited.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Park facilities are available on a first come, first serve basis.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Park Rules:<\/b><\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Treat the park as you would your own yard (or better).<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Park inside the gate and to the left of the gate. \u00a0Parking outside the gate in the cul-de-sac is illegal. \u00a0Vehicles parked in the cul-de-sac may be ticketed and\/or towed at the owner\u2019s expense.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Lock the gate when leaving the park.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. An association member must accompany their guest(s) during guest use of the park and is responsible for guest actions while in the park.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Groups larger than 10 must schedule their activity 24 hours in advance with a member of the PHCA Board of Directors.<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. A 20 X 40 ft. canopy is available for large groups using the park and can be reserved by contacting a member of the PHCA Board of Directors. \u00a0Residents using the canopy are responsible for repairing any and all damage resulting from canopy use.<\/span><\/li>\n
    7. Use of the canoe rack is free to PHCA members and is available on a first come, first serve basis. \u00a0Residents are urged to lock canoes stored on the rack.<\/span><\/li>\n
    8. Camping must be scheduled 24 hours in advance with a member of the PHCA Board of Directors.<\/span><\/li>\n
    9. Fishing is permitted, but a tidal waters fishing license is required.<\/span><\/li>\n
    10. Place trash in trash cans or preferably take it with you when leaving the park. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    11. Remove personal sports equipment when leaving the park.<\/span><\/li>\n
    12. Place dog waste in bags provided at the park entrance and discard in trash cans.<\/span><\/li>\n
    13. Discharge of any firearm is prohibited (including air rifles, BB\/pellet guns, etc.).<\/span><\/li>\n
    14. The park roadway extends from the gate to the boat launch. \u00a0Operation of cars and trucks off the park roadway is prohibited except for maintenance or delivery of park event equipment and supplies. \u00a0When operating vehicles off the roadway, care must be taken to not harm park turf, especially when the ground is wet.<\/span><\/li>\n
    15. Operation of motorcycles, all-terrain, or other vehicles off the park roadway is prohibited. <\/span><\/li>\n
    16. Cutting, injuring, or uprooting trees and shrubs is prohibited except for purposes of park maintenance that has been requested or approved by the PHCA Board of Directors.<\/span><\/li>\n
    17. Dead and downed wood in the park may be used for cookouts; however, <\/span>do not<\/span> remove any material from the adjoining National Park Service property.<\/span><\/li>\n
    18. Open fires are permitted only in the established fire ring. \u00a0Residents are not permitted to build a fire ring in the park without the approval of the PHCA Board of Directors. \u00a0All fires must be fully extinguished prior to leaving Lot 39.<\/span><\/li>\n
    19. Removal of capital improvements (picnic tables, trash cans, etc.) must be approved by PHCA Board of Directors.<\/span><\/li>\n
    20. Park users must not disturb park neighbors with loud music or boisterous behavior.<\/span><\/li>\n
    21. Park users must not engage in behavior that is hazardous to others in any way.<\/span><\/li>\n
